La Liga giants Barcelona will not be required to contend with the talents of Chelsea star Cole Palmer in the upcoming meeting between the clubs.
As much was confirmed by Blues boss Enzo Maresca on Friday.
Barcelona are primed to lock horns with Premier League outfit Chelsea late in November. This comes as part of the league phase of the Champions League.
The Blaugrana have already been condemned to defeat in one of their two outings on the continent this season, at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
As alluded to above, though, in efforts to avoid another loss at Stamford Brige next month, Barca will not need to worry about the contributions of a high-profile Chelsea star.
Drawn on the wellbeing of Cole Palmer during an exchange with the media on Friday, Blues headmaster Enzo Maresca admitted:
“I was wrong [on Cole being back in November]. Unfortunately, he needs six more weeks. Yes, absolutely [no surgery]. We just try to protect Cole as much as we can. The medical team are not magicians. We hope six weeks are enough.”
