Ousmane Dembele, who has been in top form since the start of 2025, sparked speculation on Wednesday by changing his Instagram profile picture to an old photo of him and Gavi from their time together in Barcelona.

At least one person in the Spanish media didn’t like the move, adding fuel to the conversation about Dembele’s intentions.

Paris Saint-Germain might have another Barcelona player in their sights, especially with Dembele potentially playing recruiter. The club has a history of luring talent from Barcelona, and this wouldn’t be the first time.

In recent transfer windows, the Ligue 1 leaders have prioritized signing young players who are still developing their potential. Arnau Tenas and Dembele were the latest to move from Barcelona to PSG—could another be next?

On Cadena SER, Spanish journalist Sique Rodríguez shared his thoughts on Dembele putting a picture of himself and Gavi as his Instagram profile picture, noting that these types of actions aren’t funny.

“This photo did not make me laugh,” Rodríguez said (h/t Le10Sport). “I obviously respect it, but I did not like it because I am worried about Gavi.”

The show’s presenter, Lluís Flaquer, also pressured Dembele, saying, “Dembele, let’s not play with these things. We don’t play with these things,” before being backed by his colleague Jofre Mateu: “Let’s not make a joke out of this photo; we don’t like it.”
