Barcelona are entering a crucial phase of planning for next season, and one of the biggest questions revolves around the future of Robert Lewandowski. 

The veteran striker remains a central figure in the squad, but recent developments suggest that his continuity at the club is far from guaranteed.

According to reports from SPORT, Barcelona are prepared to offer Lewandowski a one-year contract extension. 

However, the proposal includes a significant 50% salary reduction, and the club is unsure whether he will accept the terms.

Despite the offer being on the table, the final decision will rest entirely with the player. 

As expected, Lewandowski is not expected to rush into a verdict, as he wants clarity on his role before committing to another season. 

While he is willing to continue, he will only do so if he feels genuinely important to the project.

Barcelona, on their part, expect a final decision between the end of April and the beginning of May, allowing enough time to react in the transfer market if necessary. 

Comfortable in Barcelona

As far as the forward is concerned, he is comfortable at Barcelona, settled both professionally and personally, and still confident in his physical condition. 

More importantly, he believes he can continue to contribute at the highest level and offer value to the team.

However, there has been growing debate over his role, especially during phases of the season where his performances and minutes have been questioned. 

Lewandowski is fully aware of this discussion and wants complete transparency from the club before making any commitment.
