FC Barcelona hosted Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League last week, winning the game 2-1 courtesy of a second-half brace from Jules Kounde.

It was the first Champions League clash that was played at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou with a limited capacity of 45,000.

Barcelona to charge €6k to Eintracht Frankfurt

Now, according to RAC1, Barcelona will demand Eintracht Frankfurt €6,100 for the damage caused by their supporters in the away section during the Champions League match played at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Visiting supporters broke part of the barrier separating the home and away fans, also damaged several seats and lit and threw many flares.

Moreover, private restroom facilities assigned to the visiting section were vandalised, with fixtures being left broken, and the area plastered with stickers associated with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The total cost of the damage amounts to €6,100, and Barça have decided that Eintracht Frankfurt should assume this expense, and will seek the payment for the damages.

Apart from the damage to property, the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan police force) also had to intervene before, during and after the match over several incidents.

The outcome was five people arrested, 12 individuals investigated for theft and misappropriation offences, 12 administrative complaints filed and 17 spectators expelled from the Spotify Camp Nou.

Following the chaotic situation created by the visiting fans, Barcelona prepared an extensive report and sent it to UEFA, hoping for disciplinary action.

At the same time, now, they also want Eintracht to cover the damages to the stadium property, amounting up to €6,100.
