As FC Barcelona continue searching for affordable ways to strengthen their squad, the name of Viktor Tsygankov has emerged as an increasingly attractive option, reports SPORT.
The Girona winger and Ukrainian international could provide attacking depth without requiring the major financial commitment associated with many of the club’s other transfer targets.
With significant resources already earmarked for the arrivals of Anthony Gordon and a new centre-forward, Barcelona’s sporting department is exploring opportunities that combine quality, experience and financial sustainability.
Tsygankov’s situation makes him particularly appealing. The winger is ready to end his time at Girona and is believed to have reached an understanding that would allow him to leave as a free agent.
Such a scenario would significantly reduce the overall cost of any move and make him one of the most affordable attacking options available.

The Blaugrana view this as an opportunity to add depth and versatility without placing further strain on the club’s finances.
One of the key reasons Tsygankov appeals to Barcelona is his salary profile. Unlike many established attacking stars, the Ukrainian’s wage demands are considered manageable.
Given the club’s ongoing efforts to operate within financial restrictions, signing a player who can contribute without commanding a premium salary is an important factor. This makes him a realistic target in a market where prices continue to rise.
From a sporting perspective, Tsygankov offers proven experience. The Ukrainian has spent three seasons adapting to Spanish football and understands the demands of La Liga. That familiarity would reduce the adjustment period required for players arriving from abroad.
Moreover, one of Tsygankov’s greatest strengths is his flexibility. Although naturally a right winger, he is capable of operating across the entire attacking line.

This versatility would provide valuable options for Hansi Flick, particularly during a demanding season with multiple competitions. His defensive work rate and willingness to contribute without the ball are additional qualities that align well with the manager’s demands.
Barcelona are said to appreciate not only Tsygankov’s technical qualities but also his attitude. He is viewed as a professional, hard-working player who accepts different responsibilities within a squad and prioritises collective success over individual status.
While Tsygankov would not arrive as a marquee signing, he represents the type of smart, efficient market opportunity Barcelona increasingly value.
Experienced, tactically versatile, financially affordable and already adapted to Spanish football, the 28-year-old Ukrainian could become one of the most sensible attacking additions available to the club this summer.
As Barcelona continue pursuing bigger targets in the transfer market, Tsygankov remains a realistic and increasingly attractive alternative capable of strengthening the squad without requiring a major investment.
