Barcelona talent joins Lamine Yamal in history books in win over Barbastro | OneFootball

Barcelona starlet Toni Fernández this evening etched his name firmly into the history books of the Catalans.

This comes after the attacker was afforded his first-ever appearance at senior level.

Barcelona were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to minnows Barbastro for a Copa del Rey Last-32 clash.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged comfortable victors, by four goals to nil.

On target for Hansi Flick’s side over the course of the 90 minutes were all of Eric García, Robert Lewandowski (2) and Pablo Torre.

As alluded to above, though, it was another who secured for himself a special piece of history on Saturday night.

Ten minutes from time at the Estadio Municipal, the aforementioned Toni Fernández was introduced off the bench by boss Hansi Flick.

And, as confirmed by a number of sources, in the process, the Spaniard became the 2nd-youngest player to ever debut for Barcelona at senior level, behind only Lamine Yamal.
