An up and coming member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona looks increasingly likely to remain with the club’s senior squad on a permanent basis this season.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Jofre Torrents as the player in question.
Youngster Jofre has for his part of course spent recent months making quite the name for himself in Catalunya’s capital.
Handed the chance to impress with Hansi Flick’s squad in pre-season, the 18-year-old took full advantage of his opportunity.
Shining from his berth at left-back, Jofre was the only one of Barca’s latest batch of reserve team talents to maintain his senior berth through the early weeks of the new campaign.
And if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then this situation looks unlikely to change any time soon.
As per a report from MD:
‘The player from Selva del Camp has been in first-team dynamics since the first day Barça returned to work and is unlikely to return to Barça Atlètic.’
