FC Bayern celebrates a 3-2 last-minute win at SC Freiburg on matchday 28. The Bayern stars in the FCBinside individual review.
Manuel Neuer: Had a ball taken off his foot right at the start, but Freiburg were unable to convert the chance. Neuer then safely caught a free-kick from Beste from a dangerous position. The Bayern keeper then made a great save against Höler, even if it turned out afterwards that the Freiburg player was offside. It was a similar story shortly afterwards: Neuer made an incredible save against Lienhart, but he also headed offside. Neuer could do nothing about Manzambi’s very well-placed shot to make it 0-1. At 0-2, he cleared a corner at the feet of goalscorer Höler – Neuer didn’t look good there, but on the other hand he was blocked by teammate Pavlovic. Overall grade: 3
Josip Stanisic: Started at right-back, switched to central defense after Laimer came on for Tah. Stanisic did not make any mistakes in the center, but remained very pale on the right-hand side. Grade: 4
Jonathan Tah: Had a lot to do with Freiburg’s industrious attack. Tah kept throwing himself into the mix and won most of his duels. Stable performance. Mark: 3
Minjae Kim: Remained error-free in central defense and had a strong pass rate in the build-up. 3
Tom Bischof: Was kept pretty busy as a left-back, but was dogged in tackles and often got involved up front. Had a good opportunity with the follow-up shot after a Karl chance, but didn’t get the ball right with his left and put it over. Served Olise with a fine cross, but the Frenchman missed this one hundred per cent chance. Scored the 1:2 equaliser for Bayern with a shot from outside the box. The youngster also scored the equaliser for Bayern: After a pass from Olise following a corner, Bischof placed the ball precisely into the left corner. Great game! Grade: 1
Joshua Kimmich: After his pass to Karl, the ball was lost before the 0-1. Otherwise, Kimmich played a good game, had an excellent passing ratio and was also a strong fighter. With his classy pass to Davies, he set up Karl’s winning goal. Grade: 2

Leon Goretzka: Was very passive when conceding the 0:1 goal. Goretzka was unable to make an impact offensively and was substituted after less than an hour. Grade: 4
Lennart Karl: Had a strong finish shortly before the break, but Atubolu was able to hold. Karl lost the ball after a sloppy pass from Kimmich before the 0-1. Also allowed himself to be turned quite a bit by Höler in front of his own penalty area, who then put the ball just wide of the goal. Credited with the assist for Bischof’s goal with his cross outside the penalty area. Karl scored Bayern’s acclaimed winner in stoppage time after a low cross from Davies and thus became a hero. Grade: 2
Raphael Guerreiro: Started as a ten, but was unable to add anything to Bayern’s game. A very colourless performance from Guerreiro, who will leave Bayern in the summer. Grade: 5
Luis Diaz: Dug in a lot, worked hard, but didn’t get into any dangerous situations for a long time. Then, in the closing stages, Diaz flicked the ball towards the far corner after a great individual move, but Atubolu made a top save. Committed game from Diaz. Grade: 3

Serge Gnabry: Started as Kane’s deputy in the center of the attack. Ignited a long-range shot at the end of the first half, but the dangerous ball went just wide of the post and banged against the advertising hoarding. That was his only eye-catching scene, however; Gnabry was pretty much out of the picture until his substitution. Grade: 4
Substitute
Michael Olise (56th for Guerreiro): Had a great chance immediately after coming on, but pushed the ball wide of the goal after Bischof’s cross. Olise then took another dangerous shot from just behind the penalty area line, but Atubolu made a strong save to keep the ball out of the corner. Overall, Olise brought a breath of fresh air. He set up Bischof’s equalizer. Mark: 2
Aleksandar Pavlovic (56th for Goretzka): Was very present in the center after coming on as a substitute – an improvement on Goretzka. He was in Neuer’s way at 2-0, but Pavlovic can’t be blamed for that. Pavlovic’s dynamism played a big part in Bayern turning the game around. Grade: 2
Konrad Laimer (56th for Tah): Took over the right-back position, Stanisic moved inside. Laimer dared to make several forays forward and put a lot of pressure on the team. Mark: 3
Jamal Musiala (65th for Gnabry): Good for Bayern that Musiala was able to celebrate his comeback after a recent injury. Made more of an immediate impression than Guerreiro before him. Grade: 3
Alphonso Davies (87th for Kim): Celebrated his comeback like Musiala, but came on too late for a rating. Davies set up Karl’s winning goal superbly with his delivery
