Bayern Munich goal-getter Harry Kane, who leads this season’s Bundesliga scoring charts with 31 goals in 26 appearances, sat out of Matchday 28’s 3-2 win at Freiburg but Max Eberl believes the 32-year-old will be fit enough to face Real Madrid.
“We believe he will make it,” said Eberl, who wants to extend Kane’s contract beyond 2027.
Kane sat out of Bayern’s win against Julian Schuster’s Freiburg after picking up a minor injury in training while on international duty. As such, the Englishman didn’t feature in his nation’s 1-0 defeat against Japan, with the forward set to return imminently.
“It’s a minor injury that came practically out of nowhere,” Thomas Tuchel said prior to England’s defeat. “He had to stop training after 15 minutes.”
Kane has scored 48 goals and provided five assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for Vincent Kompany’s charges this season.
