Bayern Munich are wasting absolutely no time preparing for a massive summer transfer window.
With manager Vincent Kompany looking to ruthlessly upgrade his squad, the German giants have reportedly locked onto two wildly different, yet equally exciting, targets.
According to Sky Sports Germany, the Rekordmeister are focusing their immense financial power on a blockbuster double swoop: Newcastle United’s electric winger Anthony Gordon and Hertha BSC’s teenage defensive midfield sensation Kennet Eichhorn.
Gordon has been an absolute menace for defenses. At 25 years old, the England international is hitting his prime, and Bayern are incredibly eager to bring his directness and blistering pace to the Allianz Arena.
The lure of Bavaria is strong, a move would see Gordon link up with his international captain, Harry Kane, perfectly timing their domestic partnership right as they prepare to play alongside each other at this summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Gordon has reportedly informed his inner circle that he is “open” to swapping the Premier League for the Bundesliga, viewing it as the ultimate next step in his career development.
Bayern are set to hold formal meetings with his representatives soon to nail down personal terms before approaching his club. However, Newcastle aren’t going to let their star man leave cheaply.
The Magpies have slapped an eye-watering £75 million valuation on the winger, a massive fee they feel is entirely necessary to fund their own summer squad overhaul.
Bayern Munich are not alone in their admiration for Gordon. Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool are also looking to target the Newcastle United attacker.
Gordon has been on their radar for a long time and now both the clubs are about to step up their interest.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen their wide attacking position while Liverpool are preparing for life without Mohamed Salah.
The race to sign Gordon in the summer transfer window is expected to be intense but at this early stage, it appears like the German champions are leading the race for the England international
