In what is perhaps the most anticipated clash in the semi-final stage of the DFB-Pokal this campaign, Bayern Munich welcome fellow German topflight side RB Leipzig to the Allianz Arena at 20:45 CET tomorrow.

After suffering a recent domestic blip which involved a loss to FC Augsburg and a draw against HSV, the Bavarians' bounced back to winning ways with a 5-1 thrashing of third-place TSG Hoffenheim on Sunday.

With a clear marker laid down by Vincent Kompany's side, their next objective will be to advance to the last four. As 20-time champions of this competition, not reaching a final since 2020 simply won't cut mustard.

As for RB Leipzig, their form reads three wins from a possible six in 2026. With no European distractions, the likely Pokal remains the Saxony-based club's best chance of claiming silverware this campaign.

Last Sunday's hard-fought 2-1 win over 1.FC Köln will be a boost. Christoph Baumgartner netted twice in his return from suspension to ensure Leipzig left the RhineEnergie Stadion with the maximum reward.

Now, they face perhaps their sternest task of the season facing the Bavarians in knockout football. It's worth noting Ole Werner's men have been served two 6-0 and 5-1 pastings in their Bundesliga meetings with Bayern so far.

Team news:

Bayern Munich: In so far as news goes on the injury front, Bayern have come out of the worst of it. Josip Stanišić and Konrad Laimer have both recovered from ankle and calf knocks respectively.

RB Leipzig: Assan Ouédraogo (knee) isn't expected back until March. Defender Castelo Lukeba (knee) and winger Suleman Sani (ankle) are also big doubts for the trip to Munich.

Predicted lineups:

Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Laimer, Upamecano, Tah, Davies – Kimmich, Pavlovic – Olise, Gnabry, Diaz – Kane

RB Leipzig (4-3-3): Vandevoordt – Baku, Orban, Bitshiabu, Raum – Schlager, Seiwald, Baumgartner – Diomande, Rômulo, Nusa
