Benfica and Roma are monitoring 19-year-old Polish forward Marcel Wojciech Regula, who plays for Zaglebie Lubin, leaders of the Polish league.

"Regula has everything he needs to succeed. After that, it is difficult to influence what happens to the player," said club president Pawel Jez, speaking to TVP Sport.

"We want to back him, give him a chance and then profit from his sale. Roma and Benfica are watching Marcel. Shouldn’t we let him go to Portugal? Of course we will, if a concrete offer arises."

Regula is regarded as one of Poland’s leading prospects. Benfica are evaluating his technical profile and long-term potential, while Zaglebie remain open to proposals.

An academy product, he is in his second season with the first team. The youth international has five goals and two assists in 23 games this season. His contract runs to June 2028 and he is valued at five million euros.
