Multiple sources confirm that Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal are trying to buy Santiago Castro, but that Bologna have no intention of selling right now.
The centre-forward is set to celebrate his 21st birthday next week and is already pushing his way into contention for the senior Argentina squad.

According to both Argentine transfer pundit Cesar Luis Merlo and Sportitalia’s Gianluigi Longari, Al-Hilal are showing definite interest and are attempting to negotiate a deal.
However, Sportitalia reiterate that Bologna are not remotely prepared to sell their star striker, having already resisted offers over the summer months.
They paid €13.2m to buy Castro from Velez Sarsfield in January 2024, and he has 11 goals with 10 assists in 56 competitive appearances for the club.
The player too is not prepared to consider a move to the Saudi Pro League at this stage of his career, so while there is a proposal on the table, it is not being taken particularly seriously.
