Palmeiras are preparing a new proposal to move negotiations forward.

Botafogo are seeking a figure close to €20 million, about R$123 million, to release the player. Globo Esporte first reported the interest.

Danilo, a Palmeiras academy graduate, won multiple trophies before a €18 million, about R$100 million, move to Nottingham Forest in January 2023.

He played 141 times for Palmeiras, scoring 12 goals and lifting six titles. Those were two Libertadores, one Campeonato Brasileiro, one Campeonato Paulista, one Recopa Sul-Americana and one Copa do Brasil.

Palmeiras also aim to add a centre-back, a midfielder and a defensive midfielder before the transfer window closes.
