Brenden Aaronson said Daniel Farke delivered a fierce half-time message during Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland, and that it stirred the dressing room. According to Leeds Live, the midfielder detailed the impact after a laboured opening.
Farke later outlined why he was unhappy with the first 30 minutes, pointing to a cheap concession and poor awareness inside the box.
“And for that, yes, I was perhaps a bit less calm and a bit louder than I normally would be.” He also felt concentration and confidence on the ball were missing, which invited problems.
The head coach cautioned that raising his voice only works on rare, special occasions across a season.
Aaronson described Farke as generally relaxed but said the players know when a firmer tone is needed. “But when he lays into us, you know something's up.”
He admitted Leeds started sluggishly amid a stop-start rhythm of throw-ins and set pieces, and said the interval message fired them up and put them on the front foot.
