Chicago Fire starlet Brian Gutiérrez has completed a move to Liga MX giants Chivas for a 'multi-million dollar transfer fee'.
The 22-year-old was under contract with the Fire through 2028 after coming up through the youth ranks, but his recent acquisition of a Mexican passport made him a top candidate to make the move south of the border.

Gutiérrez bagged 21 goals and 25 assists in 164 appearances for Chicago, earning himself playing time with the U.S. Men's national team during 2025 as well.
However he remains eligible to represent Mexico, a possibility that has grown realistic since securing Mexican citizenship.
Chivas finished Liga MX in the 2025 Apertura season before eventually losing out to Cruz Azul in the quarter-finals of the league playoffs.
