Premier League high-flyers Brighton are weighing up a renewed move for former Leeds United and England under-21 defender Charlie Cresswell, who is now valued at more than €23m.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Toulouse rejected a €23m offer from Brighton in January, and the Seagulls are expected to come back with a fresh bid this summer as the French club have increased their price since winter.
Cresswell, 23, graduated from Leeds’ academy and broke into the first team, although minutes were limited amid competition at centre-back.
He ended over a decade at Elland Road by joining Toulouse in July 2024 for a fee understood to be around £3.8m.
It is understood Leeds included a sell-on that would give the Whites 15 per cent of any profit Toulouse make on a future sale.
Any sale at a higher price would therefore deliver a payment to Leeds.
