Brighton are eyeing a renewed move for former Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell after Toulouse rejected a €23m offer in January. The French club are now said to value him at more than €23m.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Brighton are expected to return with a fresh bid this summer, and that Toulouse have increased their asking price since the winter window.
Cresswell, 23, progressed through Leeds’ academy and broke into the first team but minutes proved scarce amid competition at centre-back.
He ended more than a decade at Elland Road by joining Toulouse in July 2024 for a fee thought to be around £3.8m. The England youth international’s reputation has grown significantly since.
Leeds are understood to have secured a sell-on clause that would give them 15 per cent of any profit Toulouse make on a future sale.
