Bristol City in talks to appoint John Mousinho

Bristol City are in talks with Portsmouth boss John Mousinho to be their next manager according to reports.

The Robins brought in septuagenarian Roy Hodgson on a temporary basis to oversee their final run of the Championship season following the dismissal of Gerhard Struber.

Now, Bristol City are targeting a manager 38 years Hodgson's junior in John Mousinho according to talkSPORT with discussions now ongoing.

Mousinho initially took over at Pompey midway through the 2022/23 campaign and got them back into the second tier the following season.

The last two campaigns have seen Portsmouth confirm their Championship status with the team finishing 18th in the league this season, eight points above the drop zone.
