Bruno Henrique available for Flamengo v Vasco after foot trauma

According to Coluna Do Fla, Bruno Henrique will be available to Leonardo Jardim for Flamengo’s derby with Vasco on Sunday 3, despite sustaining a right foot trauma.

The forward picked up the injury in the 1-1 draw with Estudiantes (ARG) on Wednesday 29. Assessments found no fracture.

At 17 minutes of the second half, Estudiantes centre-back Palacios was booked for dissent. Near the end, he caught Bruno Henrique with a studs-up challenge that left the Flamengo striker on the turf.

Referee Piero Maza, close to the incident, did not show a second yellow to Palacios, prompting protests from Flamengo players, including Danilo. The VAR did not recommend a review.

Flamengo now prepare for the clássico at the Maracanã at 16:00, Brasília time, in round 14 of the Brasileirão. Globo, GE TV on YouTube and Premiere will broadcast the match.
