Burkina Faso team director Mohamed Koffi's identified Mohamed Salah as the main danger in Egypt’s squad while also warning about the influence of Omar Marmoush & Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, ahead of their crucial 2026 World cup qualifier.
Egypt sit top of Group A with 19 point, 5 clear of Burkina Faso with three matches left. A win for the Pharaohs on foreign soil would officially secure their ticket to the 2026 finals in the USA, Canada & Mexico. Any other result would delay the decision until the final rounds.
Speaking to the Egyptian FA website, Koffi said:
"Egypt've quality across the squad but Salah, Marmoush & Trezeguet are the most dangerous"
The former Zamalek defender who also played for Petrojet, Al Masry & Smouha added his admiration for Egypt coach Hossam Hassan stressing that his duel with Burkina Faso boss Brama Traore could decide the outcome.
"Hossam Hassan was great player and is now great coach. The team that follows its manager’s instructions will take all 3 point"
The match in Ouagadougou could prove decisive for both teams dreams of reaching the expanded 48 team 2026 FIFA World cup.
