Inter Milan have received a boost ahead of this weekend’s Serie A game against Cagliari – with captain Lautaro Martinez and summer signing Petar Sucic expected in the starting eleven.

According to reports from today’s edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the duo will get the nod as Argentine star Lautaro returns to the lineup.

Inter head coach Cristian Chivu chose not to risk the former Racing Club striker last weekend against Sassuolo, nor in the midweek clash with Ajax before that.

However, Martinez has recovered from his back troubles and is due to start an Inter’s trip to Cagliari.

Alessandro Bastoni will also return to the starting eleven, after he was rested in the win over Sassuolo.

Carlos Augusto took Bastoni’s place in the win against the Neroverdi but Chivu will return the Brazilian to the bench on Saturday.

The Corriere claim Josep Martinez will start ahead of veteran Yann Sommer in goal.
