Marshall enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Huddersfield Town last season, scoring 10 goals in all competitions for the League One side and winning the club's Player of the Season award.

The 20-year-old's performances earned him a spot on West Ham's pre-season tour of the United States, where he has continued to showcase his ability, and he is now expected to remain in the first team fold.

Marshall, who featured in West Ham's 2-1 win over Everton in Chicago, Illinois this week, is a Northern Ireland international and has earned eight caps since his debut as an 18-year-old in June 2023.

Having made his international debut while still a teenager, Marshall was rewarded with his senior West Ham debut in January 2024 in a 1-0 defeat away to Bristol City in an FA Cup third-round replay.

A member of West Ham's 2023 FA Youth Cup-winning team, Marshall is highly regarded at the club, who believe he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

Manager Graham Potter has been keen to promote youth during pre-season, with academy midfielders George Earthy and Freddie Potts also set to be involved with the first team.

West Ham remain in the market for a striker, but Potter has shown he is also willing to look inwards for solutions and has identified Marshall as someone who can take on the goalscoring mantle for the Hammers.
