Calvert-Lewin named Premier League Player of the Month for December | OneFootball

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for December after a standout run for Leeds United.

The striker was in ruthless form over the festive period, scoring six goals and finding the net in every league appearance during the month. 

Calvert-Lewin’s goals helped Leeds pick up important results, scoring in wins over Chelsea and Crystal Palace and in draws against Liverpool, Brentford and Sunderland.

The England international beat off stiff competition for the award, finishing ahead of a strong shortlist that included Hugo Ekitike, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins and Harry Wilson.

The 28-year-old is the first Leeds player to win the award since Rio Ferdinand in October 2001, and this is his first time collecting the Premier League honour since the 2020/21 season.
