Kerstin Casparij has been voted November’s Etihad Player of the Month!

The Netherlands international fended off strong competition from Jade Rose and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw to win the award for the first time with over 3000 votes cast in total.

Casparij has enjoyed a fantastic 2025/26 so far and has become a key cog in Andrée Jeglertz’s machine with tireless display at right-wing-back across 11 appearances.

This has seen her start all of our Barclays Women’s Super League assignments this term as we currently sit at the division’s summit on 24 points after nine matches, and in the absence of captain Alex Greenwood, she has worn the armband with distinction and led the team expertly.

In total, she’s scored two goals and registered four assists in the top-flight this season and her fantastic campaign so far continued in November.

City v Villa: A special end to 2025!

After helping City record our first clean sheet of the season in a 1-0 win over West Ham at the Joie Stadium before producing a battling display in our 2-1 success at Goodison Park against Everton.

But it was in the first Manchester derby of 2025/26 where she produced a standout display as the Blues collected bragging rights with a 3-0 triumph at the Etihad Stadium.

Casparij produced two assists in the victory with the first a pinpoint pass into the box for Bunny Shaw to double our advantage, forcing Safia Middleton-Patel off her line only for the Jamaican to steal in and tap home.

In a more advanced role this season, her positioning paid dividends at the Etihad when she slid the ball across the edge of the area before Lauren Hemp fired viciously into the top corner.

And by scooping November’s Etihad Player of the Month award, it follows Casparij also winning the WSL’s prize for the month!
