Celta Vigo are exploring ways to bring Fer Lopez back this summer after the £19m Wolves winger revived his form on loan in Spain.
"From our perspective, it’s up to us to make every possible effort. To try and find those options, get creative, and explore possibilities until the summer is over." Sporting director Marco Garces was speaking to DAZN.
Lopez joined Wolves from Celta last summer for £19m but managed only 12 appearances across all competitions. He started twice in the Premier League and twice in the EFL Cup before a late January deal took him back to his former club.
Back in La Liga he has featured 20 times and scored twice, including a goal with the outside of his foot in the Europa League. His form has helped Celta into next season’s Conference League spots, with a Europa League push still alive.
The winger signed a five-year contract on arrival, leaving four years to run. With Wolves preparing a summer clear-out as they rebuild for the Championship, his next step could be away from Molineux.
