“Chelsea made a good decision” – Current Blues defender speaks on Xabi Alonso | OneFootball

Current Chelsea defender Jorrel Hato has been asked his opinion on Chelsea hiring Xabi Alonso as their new manager.

The club have been doing well to interview many of their players this week to ask them about Alonso’s hire. Because let’s face it, there isn’t going to be one player at the club who is not going to be excited about Alonso coming in, or at least impressed that Chelsea have managed to land such a big name and high calibre football person.

Alonso has a big task on his hands at Chelsea and I’m sure he knows it’s going to be hard work to get them back to where they want to be an appease the fan base. But I’m also sure that he will have full belief in himself and that he can be successful here at Stamford Bridge.

The Sun’s Lloyd Canfield spoke to Hato on Alonso arriving, and he said:

“I think Chelsea made a good decision to get Xabi Alonso.

“I’m excited, I knew him as a player and watched him growing up at Liverpool and at Real Madrid.

“He did very well at Leverkusen too, and they became champions and he was at Madrid.

“He’s a big name so I’m very excited.

“I’ve played in a back three and a back four, for me I don’t care about where I want to play, I just want to play.”
