Chelsea set £17m price tag for defender amid Roma interest | OneFootball

Chelsea are demanding a fee of €20m (£17m) for defender Axel Disasi, amid interest from Roma.

Disasi has not made a first-team appearance for Chelsea in more than 18 months and spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham.

Despite West Ham’s relegation, Disasi impressed at the London Stadium and the Hammers had been keen on a permanent deal.

However, the East Londoners are yet to have persuaded Disasi back on a permanent basis and interest from Roma could complicate that pursuit. FootMercato are reporting that Rome are keen on a deal for Disasi, whose price tag is £17m.

The Italian side are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of returning to the Champions League next season.

Roma held talks with West Ham for Crysencio Summerville, but are set to miss out on the Dutch winger to Al-Hilal, and also have interest in Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho.

Disasi, who has three years to run on his contract at Chelsea, is free to leave this summer.
