The collective and defensive work of Chivas Femenil tonight was outstanding. Antonio Contreras’ team delivered a display of solidity as a unit to earn a point against Rayadas on Matchday 13 of the Clausura 2026, reaching 27 points and tightening the race at the top of the table.

It was no small challenge for the Rebaño, who visited the Estadio Monterrey to face the league leaders—still unbeaten and boasting the most powerful attack in the competition. With near-perfect synchronization between lines, like a Swiss watch, the Rojiblancas formed a compact block that managed to neutralize La Pandilla.

With intelligent reading of the game’s moments, collective effort, and quick transitions, Guadalajara grew as the match went on: they withstood the home side’s early pressure and ended up tilting the field in the second half, creating clear chances to even take the win—including a controversial handball inside the box that was not called as a penalty.

In this way, the Rojiblanco side became the first team to keep the league leaders scoreless in the current tournament, also taking a very valuable point in the fight for the top spots in Liga MX Femenil.

Now, Chivas Femenil will have a full week before returning to action on Matchday 14, when they visit Estadio Caliente to face Xolos next Sunday, February 29 at 7:06 PM (Central Mexico Time).

Key chances

- 32’: “Licha” fired a right-footed shot from outside the box toward the near post, but the goalkeeper tracked it well and made the save.

- 59’: A cross from the left by “Caro” Jaramillo found “Jas” on the right, whose shot went just wide of the post.

- 62’: Yamile Franco won the ball in the attacking third and unleashed a powerful strike that troubled Manrique.

- 68’: “La Comandante” took a free kick from the right side, sending it just over the crossbar.

- 85’: “Caro” nearly scored with a long-range effort aimed at the top corner, forcing a diving save for a corner.

- 90’: “La Emperatriz” Ferral smashed the crossbar after intercepting the ball in Rayadas’ half and firing a rocket.
