Corinthians arrive in Santos with 25 players as Rodrigo Garro returns | OneFootball

Corinthians have travelled to Santos with a 25-man squad for Thursday’s Paulistão derby at Vila Belmiro, with midfielder Rodrigo Garro back in contention. According to Meu Timao, kick-off is at 19:30 in the fourth round.

The squad completed preparations early afternoon at CT Joaquim Grava, then headed to their hotel, where they will stay until shortly before the game. They arrived around 18:00 on Wednesday, greeted by fans seeking photos and autographs.

Garro had not been involved this season while recovering from surgery on the scaphoid bone in his left wrist in the first week of pre-season. The club had expected him to be available for the Supercopa do Brasil against Flamengo on the first of February.

Dorival Júnior still has absences. Memphis Depay remains in a muscle rebalancing process, despite resuming on-pitch work on Tuesday. Defender Cacá is treating a strain to the left internal oblique muscle in the abdomen, while midfielder José Martínez is in Venezuela for a passport reissue.

Corinthians are aiming to respond after defeat to Red Bull Bragantino and a draw with São Paulo. They are seventh on eight points, marginally ahead of Santos in eighth on goal difference.
