Corinthians draw Barra in 2026 Copa do Brasil fifth phase | OneFootball

Corinthians will face Barra of Santa Catarina in their 2026 Copa do Brasil opener after Monday's fifth-phase draw.

According to Meu Timao, the CBF drew 32 teams into two pots based on the 2026 Ranking Nacional de Clubes, with Corinthians in Pot 1. The club were represented at the event by football executive Marcelo Paz.

Corinthians will play the first leg away, then host the return to decide a place in the last 16. The first legs are scheduled for 22 and 23 April, with the second legs on 13 and 14 May. A detailed schedule is expected in the coming days.

This will be the clubs' first ever meeting. Barra are the current Santa Catarina champions after defeating Chapecoense in the final, and they also won the 2025 Série D.

Dorival Júnior's side enter as holders, aiming for a first consecutive title. In 2025 they eliminated Novorizontino, Palmeiras, Athletico-PR, Cruzeiro and Vasco to secure a fourth crown.
