Corinthians face another derby this week, plus NBB action and Copa Super 8

The third week of 2026 remains intense for Corinthians. In the first phase of the Paulistão, the People’s Team will play its second consecutive derby, while in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), the team will have its third straight game in Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, the Super 8 Cup will feature a decisive quarterfinal match.

The series of commitments begins this Monday (19th). After losing to Flamengo and defeating Vasco da Gama, the People’s Team will face Botafogo at the Oscar Zelaya Gymnasium, once again in Rio de Janeiro. The tip-off is at 8:00 PM (Brasília time), with Corinthians aiming to secure a winning streak.

After drawing with São Paulo at the Neo Química Arena, Corinthians is looking to win its first derby of the year in a clash against Santos. The Clássico Alvinegro takes place on Wednesday (21st), at 7:30 PM, for the fourth round of the Paulistão, at the Urbano Caldeira Stadium, Vila Belmiro. Dorival Júnior’s team needs the victory to continue the pursuit of a spot in the knockout stage.

After that, Corinthians returns to action only on Sunday, with both sports teams playing matches. In the morning, at 11:00 AM, the team led by Jece Leite faces Minas in a decisive game for the Super 8 Cup, which is contested by the top eight teams from the first half of the NBB. Since the opponent is ranked higher, the match will be held at their home, the UniBH Arena.

On the same day, but at night, Corinthians takes the field to face Velo Clube in search of three points. For the fifth round of the first phase of the Paulistão, the People’s Team faces the club from Rio Claro at the Benito Agnelo Catellano Stadium, Benitão. Kickoff is at 8:30 PM.
