Corinthians will keep Pedro Raul this window, turning down loan approaches from Série A clubs. According to Meu Timao, none of the options appealed to the striker, who wants to stay at a leading Brazilian side.
Vitória were interested but viewed a move as difficult due to his wish to stay and his wages, and Corinthians would not subsidise them. Remo also asked about him, while Botafogo links included a mooted Arthur Cabral swap that went nowhere.
Injuries to Memphis Depay and Gui Negão strengthen the case for his retention. Dorival Júnior is expected to use him more.
Signed in February 2024, Pedro Raul is tied to Corinthians until 31 December 2028. The club initially paid US$ 5 million for 100% of his rights, later renegotiated to at least US$ 8 million across nine instalments after delays and a transfer ban risk.
He struggled to convince in 2024 and early 2025, then joined Ceará on loan, where he scored the goal that secured the Campeonato Cearense against Fortaleza in a 1-1 second leg. He finished with 18 goals in 51 appearances for Ceará and Corinthians.
This season, after the exits of Talles Magno, Ángel Romero and Héctor Hernández, he has largely come off the bench to add presence in the box. He has made 12 appearances without scoring, with one assist.
He could end that run on 1 April when Corinthians visit Fluminense at 21:30 at the Maracanã in the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
