Corinthians will not loan out forward Pedro Raul in this transfer window. He has attracted interest from Série A clubs, but he intends to stay with a leading Brazilian side.

According to Meu Timao, Vitória made an approach but viewed a deal as difficult, given the player’s stance and his high wages. Corinthians also showed no appetite to share salary costs. Remo asked about him, and he was linked with Botafogo, where a proposed Arthur Cabral swap did not progress.

His retention is reinforced by injuries to Memphis Depay and Gui Negão. Head coach Dorival Júnior is expected to lean more on the No 18, alongside Yuri Alberto, Vitinho, Kaio César, Kayke and Dieguinho.

Signed in February 2024 under then president Augusto Melo, Pedro Raul is contracted until 31 December 2028. Corinthians bought 100% of his rights for US$ five million, due in four instalments across 2024 and 2025.

Delays on the early payments and the threat of a transfer ban led to a renegotiation. The total rose to at least US$ eight million, payable in nine instalments from 2025 to 2028.

He struggled to settle, scoring three goals in 33 games in 2024, then one in three in 2025 before a loan to Ceará. Despite Ceará’s relegation to Série B, he struck the goal that secured the Campeonato Cearense title against Fortaleza in a 1-1 second leg, finishing the year with 18 goals in 51 appearances across Ceará and Corinthians.

In 2026, after the exits of Talles Magno, Ángel Romero and Héctor Hernández, Dorival has mostly used him from the bench. He has 12 appearances so far, no goals and one assist, and could end that run on the first of April at Fluminense, at the Maracanã at 21:30, in the ninth round of the Brasileiro.
