Arnaud Kalimuendo’s (23) summer move to Nottingham Forest has yet to bear fruit. The Frenchman joined the Premier League side from Stade Rennais in the summer for a fee of €30m. Given the fee paid, the Frenchman was expected to play a prominent role.
However, he has played just 217 minutes of football in all competitions so far, and he has yet to register his first goal for the club. His lack of minutes comes amid a difficult context at the City Ground, with Nuno Espirito Santo making a swift departure at the start of the season, before Ange Postecoglou lasted just over a month. He has now been replaced by Sean Dyche, Forest’s third manager of the season.
There is a chance that Kalimiendo could now leave Nottingham Forest. As per a report from Florian Plettenberg, Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart have added the striker to their shortlist. There is contact between the German side and the Frenchman’s agents. Nottingham Forest are not opposed to a sale, even if they still believe in Kalimuendo’s potential.
