As Stuttgart look to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, the Bundesliga club have added Nottingham Forest forward Arnaud Kalimuendo to their shortlist.

Florian Plettenberg reports that there has already been contact between VfB and the Frenchman’s entourage, while the under-performing Premier League club are also open to discussions, but despite Kalimuendo yet to score a goal for his new club, are still backing their summer signing.

Kalimuendo signed a contract until 2030 after joining Forest from Rennes for €30m. The Frenchman has played just 217 minutes across nine games in all competitions as the club sit 19th in the Premier League with just two wins in 11.

As for Stuttgart, despite losing Enzo Millot and Nick Woltemade they are flying high in the Bundesliga, sitting fourth and just one point behind second–placed RB Leipzig.

In the absence of Ermedin Demirović, who is currently sidelined for around eight weeks with a foot injury, Deniz Undav has returned to fitness and is scoring freely with four goals in his last five appearances across all competitions.
