The French Football Federation announced the Coupe de France final will be played on Friday 22 May at the Stade de France to avoid next-day transport closures linked to Grand Paris works, adding it had no other solution after weighing a possible switch to Lyon.
The showpiece had originally been scheduled for Saturday 23 May.

The change means it will now take place on the same night as the rugby Challenge Cup final.
Both events are due to be shown by France Télévisions.
If a French club were to reach the rugby final, two major events would overlap on the public broadcaster’s channels.
