Craig Bellamy selects Leeds United trio, benches Karl Darlow for Romania friendly | OneFootball

Craig Bellamy has named Leeds United's Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon and Dan James to start for Wales against Romania, with Karl Darlow dropping to the bench.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Danny Ward starts in goal. Jayden Lienou has received his first senior international call-up.

Ampadu, Rodon, Darlow and James all started Tuesday's 2-2 draw at home to Ghana, with Lienou an unused substitute.

Wales missed out on this summer's competition after a penalty shoot-out defeat to Bosnia Herzegovina in March's qualifying play-off final. They still had two June friendlies scheduled ahead of the Euro 2028 qualifying campaign. Saturday evening's match is at the Stadionul Steaua in Bucharest, with a 6.45pm kick-off.

Leeds have four players heading to the World Cup in Brenden Aaronson, Gabi Gudmundsson, Noah Okafor and Ao Tanaka.
