Crazy growth: these are the Instagram kings at FC Bayern | OneFootball

FC Bayern’s sporting dominance is also reflected off the pitch. The Munich professionals are setting new standards on social networks – and are clearly outperforming the competition in the Bundesliga

A recent analysis by influencer agency Netzschreier shows that no other club recorded comparable growth on Instagram between the end of the summer transfer period and the start of the winter break

During this period, Bayern players gained a total of 2.29 million new followers, leaving the record champions well ahead of their national rivals. Borussia Dortmund are a distant second with 376,088 new subscribers, while RB Leipzig are even further behind with 173,916 additional followers

Michael Olise at the top

The individual rise of individual Bayern professionals is particularly striking. At the top of the club’s internal ranking is Michael Olise. The Frenchman gained 609,877 new followers in his second season at FC Bayern and now has a reach of over two million people on Instagram. He is closely followed by shooting star Lennart Karl, who increased his profile by 452,172 subscribers. New signing Luis Diaz also made a significant contribution to the Bayern boom, gaining 321,388 followers

While FC Bayern dominate in absolute terms, another Bundesliga professional is causing a stir in terms of percentage growth. Leipzig’s summer signing Yan Diomande recorded the biggest relative increase of all players. His following rose from 14,324 to 108,642 – an increase of 658 per cent. This makes him the percentage winner of the ranking, even if he remains well behind the Bayern stars in the overall ranking

The figures underline how strongly FC Bayern is performing not only in sporting terms, but also as a global brand. Players such as Olise and Karl benefit from sporting success, media presence and the record champions‘ enormous international reach – and also make the Munich team the clear kings of the Bundesliga on Instagram.
