Hernán Crespo is in talks with Qatari club Al-Sadd. The Argentine has been without a club since March, when São Paulo dismissed him.

According to Globo.com, Al-Sadd are without a head coach after Roberto Mancini left last week. Mancini is among the candidates to take charge of Italy.

Crespo was recently linked with Vasco, who have been without a manager since Renato Gaúcho was sacked, but neither side advanced discussions. The Argentine does not intend to remain in Brazilian football, and Vasco turned to other options, with a near agreement for Franclim Carvalho of Botafogo.

He has also received enquiries from clubs in Saudi Arabia. For now, the trend points to him continuing his career in the Middle East.

Crespo previously coached Al-Duhail in Qatar and Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates between 2022 and 2024.
