Cristóbal García ‘Tobalo’, the former CD Castellón striker, has died aged 86.
According to Ahiscas 1922, he was one of the contributors to Castellón’s 1965/66 promotion to Segunda División, scoring 27 goals that season and standing out for his heading, endeavour and commitment.

Between 1964 and 1968 he scored 55 goals in 101 appearances for the albinegros, establishing himself as one of the club’s leading forwards of the 1960s.
He also represented provincial sides Villarreal, Nules, Burriana and Vinaròs.
Beyond the province he played for Cádiz, Atlético Baleares and Badalona.
