Cuiabano registered on CBF BID and available for Vasco | OneFootball

Cuiabano has been cleared to play for Vasco and could debut against Bahia on Wednesday at 21:30 at São Januário in round three of the Brasileirão. According to Globo.com, the 22-year-old left-back was listed on the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário (BID) on Monday.

He signed on Saturday, joining from Nottingham Forest in England on loan until the end of this season. The deal includes an option to buy that would extend his contract until December 2030, set at 10 million euros.

A Grêmio academy product who impressed at Botafogo, Cuiabano remains contracted to Nottingham Forest. His wish to play in Brazilian football was a key factor in advancing talks.

At Vasco he will compete with Lucas Piton for the left-back berth. He has already trained with team-mates at CT Moacyr Barbosa and, upon arriving in Rio de Janeiro, said he is in good physical condition to play.

Fernando Diniz’s team have one point from the opening two rounds and sit 13th. Their campaign began with a 2-1 defeat at Mirassol, followed by a 1-1 home draw against Chapecoense.
