Matheus Cunha’s goal gave Manchester United a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

Cunha’s fantastic first-time finish from Bruno Fernandes’ low cross, his 18th assist in the Premier League this season, proved enough for Michael Carrick’s side to return to winning ways after their home defeat to Leeds on Monday.

Chelsea came close to an equaliser in the second half, hitting the bar twice through Liam Delap and Wesley Fofana, but the defeat, their sixth in the last seven games, piles more pressure on boss Liam Rosenior.

They have also failed to score a goal in their last four league games, losing all of them.

The victory for United puts them ten points ahead of Chelsea in sixth, with the top five qualifying for Champions League football next season.
