According to Javi Miguel of AS, Raphinha is scheduled to return to Barcelona on July 27, just in time to join the squad travelling to England for an eight-day pre-season training camp.

The tour will include a friendly against Birmingham on July 31, giving Hansi Flick another opportunity to assess his squad ahead of the new season.

Recovery after a difficult summer

Raphinha’s summer has been far from straightforward. His World Cup campaign ended in disappointment, and he also picked up a hamstring injury during the tournament.

Off the pitch, speculation has continued over a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, with rumours intensifying following reports linking the player to financial issues stemming from an alleged fraud case.

Despite the speculation, both Raphinha and his representatives have consistently expressed their desire to remain at Barcelona.

After an injury-disrupted season that prevented him from helping the team during several key moments, the Brazilian is determined to establish himself once again.

Other possible news faces on the England tour

Raphinha may not be the only notable addition to the travelling squad.

Barcelona are still working to complete the signing of Joao Cancelo, while Fermin Lopez is also expected to travel despite continuing his recovery from a right foot injury.

Although he is unlikely to feature in matches, the midfielder will continue his rehabilitation alongside the group.

Much of the attention, however, will be focused on new signing Karim Adeyemi, who is set to begin his first pre-season as a Barcelona player.

Anthony Gordon, the club’s other major summer arrival, will enjoy two additional weeks of vacation before returning.

Ronald Araujo returned to the Ciutat Esportiva today, although the Uruguayan defender arrives carrying a calf injury sustained before the World Cup, which prevented him from playing for Uruguay. His reintegration into full training is expected to be gradual.

Frenkie de Jong is also due back this week, but his situation remains uncertain. The Dutch midfielder is still awaiting a final decision on whether surgery will be required to treat his right knee injury, making a normal return to training unlikely for now.

The rest of Barcelona’s World Cup internationals, who took part in the final and the third-place playoff, ten players in total, will only return after the England training camp and the pre-season triangular tournament in Italy on August 8.
