Davide Ancelotti arrives at Lille two days after Brazil’s World Cup exit | OneFootball

The club confirmed on Tuesday that new head coach Davide Ancelotti had arrived in the North, two days after Brazil were knocked out of the World Cup.

Lille resumed training on Monday at Domaine de Luchin, although he did not appear until the following day. A video released on Tuesday captured his arrival.

He had been assistant to his father, Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil’s head coach, whose side lost 2-1 to Norway in the last 16 on Sunday. He can now take up his duties at LOSC.

In the footage he appeared smiling, speaking in French as he greeted players, including Benjamin André.

President Olivier Létang asked whether he had managed to sleep on the flight to France, and Ancelotti said he had before embracing him. The video also showed him pulling on club kit and touring the Domaine de Luchin.
