Lille interested in Gjivai Zechiël as Feyenoord hold out for sizeable fee

Lille are keen on Netherlands Under-21 midfielder Gjivai Zechiël, although Feyenoord are holding out for a sizeable fee.

According to L'Équipe, the club have opened talks in recent days with Feyenoord to sign the 22-year-old, who has 10 Under-21 caps and four goals.

No agreement has been reached, and the Rotterdam side remain firm over a player under contract until 2028.

Loaned to FC Utrecht last season, Zechiël registered 10 goals and 10 assists in 50 matches across all competitions. His market value is considered high.

Basar Önal, the NEC Nijmegen winger, is expected to be made official in the coming hours following his medical, as Lille continue to monitor the Dutch market.
