Derby boss gives double injury update ahead of Norwich clash | OneFootball

Derby County boss John Eustace says Callum Elder is not yet ready to return for the clash with Norwich on Tuesday.

Elder underwent knee surgery earlier this season and has not yet returned to training.

“Cal’s on the mend, he’s not on the grass at the moment,” Eustace said.

“But his operation went very well, and we’re all pleased for him for that.”

Derry Murkin, meanwhile, could feature against the Canaries despite being forced off in his side’s 1-0 win over Oxford.

“He obviously missed the game before with a slight back problem,” Eustace explained.

“He just aggravated that slightly.

“Everyone was out on the grass today in various kind of aspects. They didn’t all train, but everyone was out there.

“We’ll have to wait until tomorrow before we pick the team and see who’s available.”
