After a busy transfer window this summer, Derby fans have gone into this season with high hopes of what to expect from their new signings, with the club making 10 additions to their squad up to this point with still a week remaining to do business.

Despite being three games down and only one point on the board, Derby's signings have impressed so far, such as the likes of star man Carlton Morris, who has hit the ground running with three league goals.

Sky Sports journalist, Florian Plettenberg, reported that Sturm Graz's Max Johnston to Derby is now a done deal after an ongoing saga. So, even though performance levels have been rather mixed up to this point, Derby fans can be happy with the behind-the-scenes work that is going on at the club as they look to majorly improve on last season's relegation scare.

Derby boss John Eustace hasn't had an easy job in the dugout in the early stages of this season, as injuries to key players as well as new signings have been an area of concern for him.

With six players currently sidelined due to injury, a depleted squad has stressed the importance of Eustace bringing in a couple of more names through the door before the window closes on 1st September.

We look at the latest transfer news here:

Derby County among the list of clubs interested in Armando Dobra

Derby County have shown a key interest in ex-Ipswich Town forward Armando Dobra from League Two side Chesterfield. The Albanian winger has been subject to a lot of interest from an array of EFL clubs.

Journalist Pete O'Rouke reported that Dobra has been on the radar of eight EFL clubs, with the Rams among the list and facing fierce competition for his signature from two other Championship clubs.

Eustace has been crying out for a technical and creative winger who could be a provider for the goal-hungry Morris.

Dobra's ability to play on the left-wing as well as through the middle makes him a perfect fit for Eustace's system after the Rams' main target, Koki Saito, completed a permanent move to Loftus Road with QPR.

The Albanian has a keen eye for goal and has proven that he can make the step-up to Championship football after netting 10 goals last season, especially in the current absence of Corey Blackett-Taylor, who suffered an injury on the opening day of the season in Derby's defeat to Stoke City.

Derby County in the race for Sergi Canos' return to England

According to Spanish journalist, Salva Gomis, ex-Brentford man Sergi Canos is a key target for Derby County, but they face opposition for his signature from clubs overseas by LAFC in the MLS. With Canos expected to leave his current club, Valencia, this summer, the Spanish giants have already rejected an offer from a Turkish club.

A potential move back to England for Canos in the way of Derby could go down as shrewd business if a deal were to happen with the clock ticking down. With all parties wanting a deal to happen, we could well see the Spaniard return to the Championship after an impressive six-year spell with the Bees.

Canos, who is known for his attacking energy and technical ability, made him a fan-favourite at Brentford. After an impressive tenure at the London-based club, where he made just shy of 250 appearances, the 28-year-old scored 36 goals and provided 32 assists before making the move to Greek side Olympiakos and subsequently to his native homeland, Valencia.

Canos' energy and passion that he can bring to Pride Park could steer Derby's season in the right direction. With a clear emphasis on getting players with creative flair through the door, Canos certainly fits the bill for Eustace's desired forward line.

Derby County keen to keep Jacob Zetterstrom, Brentford interested

Derby's Swedish goalkeeper Jocab Zetterstrom has attracted interest from Premier League outfit, Brentford, as per reports from The Sun.

After being the difference in making sure the Rams achieved survival last season, Zetterstrom has been a key target in between the sticks for the Bees, who may look to bid £3.5m for the 27-year-old.

Brentford earlier this summer signed Liverpool's second-choice keeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, and look to reinforce the number one position even further and create healthy competition between the pair.

As for Derby, the Swede remains a key part of Eustace's side in the opening fixtures of the season and has played a full 90 minutes in each of the Rams Championship matches despite conversations about his future going on in the background.

Derby are keen to keep their main man in the net. However, if the price is right, it could be difficult to say no. With less than a week to go in the transfer market, there may be little time to find Zetterstrom's replacement if the reliable goalkeeper was to move on to new pastures.
