Speaking to LUTV after the game, Calvert-Lewin gave his thoughts.

He said: “I really enjoyed it, it was a great day at the office.

“I think to win in the manner in which we did, to get on the score sheet and you know, have three different scorers and kind of put those rumours to bed that we didn’t have enough threat on the pitch, it’s just a good day.

“We showed character and discipline. I think today we showed that we belong at the end of the day.

“It's tough for newly promoted sides to come into the league. It's a known thing. So I think today to come from behind, away from home, is just a big confidence boost and a show of intent really.”

Then on his goal, a header from Jayden Bogle’s cross, he added: “That's my game at the end of the day, balls in the box.

“It's not the only thing I do. But when you do put the ball in the box, I am a threat, so I was happy to see that one come in the box.

“It’s my job, when the ball does come in, to be in the right position at the right time.”
