Corinthians players drenched head coach Dorival Júnior with an ice bath in the Mané Garrincha press room after their 2-0 Supercopa do Brasil win over Flamengo.
According to Meu Timao, his media conference was halted by a jubilant squad who burst in with a cooler. Midfielder Raniele and right-back João Vitor Jacaré tipped it over their manager, who enjoyed the moment.
Team-mates Matheus Bidu, Charles, Kauê and Breno Bidon also joined in.
The win is Corinthians’ second Supercopa crown, having also beaten Flamengo in 1991. The title is worth about R$ 11.55 million, with the CBF distributing R$ 6.35 million to the two clubs and Conmebol paying a further US$ 1 million, around R$ 5.2 million, to the winners.
It continues a prolific run, making it three trophies in less than a year. In 2025 the club lifted the Paulistão in March against Palmeiras, then won the Copa do Brasil in December at the Maracanã against Vasco da Gama.
Corinthians return to action on Thursday at 20:30, hosting Capivariano at the Neo Química Arena in the sixth round of the Paulistão.
